Recently released Systemd 212 has a very desirable feature - remote logging.
For now is clear that sooner or later systemd is going to be used in most enterprise Linux distributions, so know it.
Now Systemd remote journaling is going to be marvellous.
Syslog is a classic system that had major difference in implemented remote journaling from Systemd that didn't had it. So for big server farms Syslog journaling was more desirable for monitoring than Systemd logging that had needed to be collected with third-party additional software.
I don't love many architectural moments in Systemd.
That it's not a Unix way philosophy that I think very important for long durable system building and many developers say that it designed in a very risky manner, like create too complicated architecture around init root point of OS that deals with processes, and soon can turn into nightmare. I think it's going to be new X11 like no one knows how this mess works.
